Looking to book a Vegas trip at the end of February/beginning of March and wanted to get some recommendations on where to stay. Going to be 2 couples so looking for something nice. This is our first time so we wanted to hear where the vets like to stay and why. TIA

I think the Bellagio is your answer.

It's right in the thick of the strip. The rooms are very nice/large and it has great restaurants - rooms should be pretty cheap for those months, too. It's located between City Center (Aria, Cosmo) and Caesar's - I could go to Vegas and never leave those three properties.

Others might say the Wynn has nicer amenities but it's kind of at the end of the strip.

Been to Vegas over 20 times.

Aria is the right answer. Great upscale hotel that isn't ridiculously priced. Nice restaurant options. Reasonable betting limits for the style of property. Perfect mid strip location to get all over the place. MGM property. I find the MGM is more generous with their comps over Harrah's.

The only negative is the monorail is on the opposite side of the strip for those times you want to go to the extreme North or South end of the strip. It's not a deal breaker, just a little bit of a walk to get over there.

The weather will be comfortable during the day and cool at night, so walking anywhere shouldn't be an issue.

Bellagio is nice, but it's always too crowded. It's difficult to move through during peak hours.

I've stayed at the Wynn, Palazzo (@ the Venetian), Caesar's and the Monte Carlo. Out of them all, Wynn was the most posh followed closely by the Palazzo. Caesar's was disappointing for me. Of course, that could have something to do with being stuck in the old tower. Monte Carlo was pretty nice and cheaper than a lot of other places. It's next to the Aria complex on the south side of the strip. It's nothing terribly fancy but was still nice. The casino there was pretty small though.

Are you poor or do you have money to blow and what do you intend on doing?

I've been at least 10 times. We've stayed at Caesars, Bellagio, Aria, Wynn, Pallazzo, Venetian and MGM. The past two times I've been we stayed at Caesars. It's centrally located and has everything you need to experience Vegas. Stay in the newer towers when you book the room...Octavian and Augustus. I got married there in July as well.
Also, Absinthe is s must see show while there. It's right outside Caesars front door. Enjoy.
