Pez officials said the crowd of people “immediately moved to the third field, took over and removed everything well before the activity was to even start.”
"So we started talking to people and say 'hey this is supposed to start at certain time'," Pez General Manager Shawn Peterson said. "Well that lasted about a minute and everyone just rushed the field and took everything."
Welch told Eyewitness News that children were trampled, parents knocked over children and eggs were stolen out of peoples’ baskets. Peterson said the crowd was "kind of like locusts."

It's not free events that are the problem. It's free events that give out free stuff that are the problem.
Folks with no manners will not ruin an event that isn't offering them free stuff. Why would they bother to come unless they are being paid with free stuff. They certainly didn't attend to be a positive part of the community or to celebrate the Resurrection.
I won't go to free events that give out free stuff. The last time I did, the free stuff didn't last long enough and the folks that didn't pay for the free stuff and didn't get the free stuff were mad because they didn't get the free stuff that they didn't pay for but deserved.
TL/DR: too many people suck these days.

Screw that lady in the video for trying to blame pez for "jeopardizing her childs safety".
Pez was trying to do a good thing for FREE, and PEOPLE not Pez's people ruined that. They should expect civilized behavior to a point.
