If they want to fix traffic around there, they need a left turn lane & signal on nicholson and lee. And fix the problem of the people that ride the right turn lane on lee to nicholson, then get over at the last possible minute to cross over the railroad tracks.

Great. More traffic lights always fix things.

I don't think there are 10% of the wrecks as East Boyd. Seems unnecessary for the over-privileged shite that live there. Learn to drive your daddy's car.
And i drive an suv.

It's on the list of upcoming improvements...
*been on the list since 1989
In all reality, they're waiting on the railroad to get them to lower that section of track and be able to expand DOTD's right of way into the rail-line's property. That way, they can 4 lane Nicholson all the way to Bluebonnet. However, the railroad is in no hurry and has zero pressure on them to approve shite. If people want to get that fixed, they need to protest and petition that rail line until they approve it so that widening of highway 30 can happen.
IRL, DOTD could fix the problem with a can of spray paint, but they won't do it because they simply don't give a frick.

I couldn't give two fricks about all the wrecks you dipshits get in. I only give one frick because it helps me.

Traffic lights going up at Burbank Dr & Ben Hur Rd.
Burbank is going to be a solid line of traffic lights.
I'll refrain from repeating exactly what has already been said in this thread.

I'm guessing the city of BR got tired of the number of wrecks in that area. It's about time.
It amazes me how bad people in the Greater Baton Rouge Area are at making u-turns. Nobody seems to possess the appropriate judgment needed to determine whether or not you can successfully pull out in front of a car or not.
The other day I was going down Burbank towards Lee, near Ben Hur, and I saw a car pull out in front of a car about 100 yards ahead of me. I thought to myself, "Gee, what an a-hole."
About two seconds later another car makes a u-turn and pulls out into the lane I was driving in. I'm doing about 60 mph so I have to slam on my breaks to avoid rear-ending the dumb hippie bitch.
That was about the second time in as many weeks that someone did that to me. The other incident occurred near the East Baton Rouge and Ascenion border on Airline Hwy around the State Fairgrounds.

I drive down burbank and past where this light will eventually be. I despise more lights on my route, but this one is needed. First, they had to block left turners from Ben Hur since they kept trying to bolt across four lanes and getting T-Boned. Now they have to turn right and then U-turn. The turning lane for U-turns piles up screwing up left-hand lane traffic heading away from Lee on burbank, and the U-turners keep rolling out in front of cars going 55+. It a clusterfluff. A light is the only way I can see it being resolved.

I agree. I don't usually advocate for the addition of traffic lights, but this is a must.

Then we'll need another light at the other development just down the street. And one at Pelican Lakes, or whatever it's called. When does it end?

About damn time.
Hopefully it can synchronize and regulate things to make the Brightside intersection a little better.

It's not dangerous because of the intersection. It's dangerous because people don't know how to drive. They pull out in front of traffic because they aren't looking and get broadsided.
