Traffic in New Orleans is unpredictable when compared to BR.

It's hardly ever bad if you are going out in the AM and coming back in the PM. It still bothers me, but that's just me.

It's from all the blocked off streets that are "under construction" yet no one is ever working on them. Uptown has been a shitshow.

I don't find it has, but it helps to know the streets to use so you avoid it.

I think those new red light green light blinking on and off for each lane on the on ramps of the Ponchartrain expressway hasn't done what I think they were hoping it would do....

Interstate wise the eastern half of the city seems like it's been the same as always, get a wreck on the high rise and BAM a couple hours of bumper to bumper traffic is the best case scenario......

But you are right, the traffic on the west side put to Kenna on Ten really seems like there has been an influx of vegicas on the road..... usually the first place to look is if any feeder or surface streets are being working on. Like Earhart, Airline, Jefferson/Claiborne.... etc. ?????

Yes and Nashville and Jefferson and Claiborne and a bunch of other side streets in the Golden Rectangle....

I never hit bad traffic in Nola for some reason like I do in BR.

I think i just drive smarter routes and times though than most people.

I come in to Nola from I10 West around 6-615pm and didn't have any traffic issues over the past year. This past month or so, traffic has been pretty bad in Kenner nearly every evening. Not sure why.

You want to know when the shite will hit the fan? If they haven't finished maybe Jeff and Nap and start tearing up Mag between Henry Clay and Leake Ave.

I've been noticing this too when driving in.
My hunch is the hispanics are coming back in from working flood jobs in the Baton Rouge area every evening. I notice a lot of them and there is large amount of traffic exiting Loyola and Williams.

Agreed on this note.

I live in midcity, and they need to finish Tulane Ave already. I never see them working, and there hasn't been any visible progress in weeks. Crossing at Broad or Jeff Davis is a bitch.

That makes sense if it eases up quickly after Loyola/Will.
