No you just proved you don't know Dick about cars.

Tacomas and 4Runners retain 75-80% of value after three years. That's the highest in their class.
The Land Cruiser is just as well performing resale wise and the FJ cruiser has insane resale.

Since value of the car is the best indicater of a car's value. I'd say the higher value ones are in deed better.

A 10 year old Tacoma with 200,000 still commands $10k.
So does a 10 year old 7 series, or E class or Escalade......just that they cost 3-4 times the price.

I traded my 12 year old Tacoma in on a new tundra and got 12,000. Could have sold myself for 15.

It was still in excellent shape with about 150k miles.

I’ll drive this tundra another 12-15 years then buy another Toyota.

I haven't read all the responses, but if there's something blocking it from rolling all the way up it automatically rolls back down. Maybe something is jammed in the top?

Sounds like the anti trap function needs to be relearned. A quick Google search should tell you how to do it.

Yes, had a similar episode with a Honda Accord. Window motor had to re-learn the track of the window. Google it and it may solve your problem.

Alright, as someone who knows quite a bit about cars, he isn't wrong.

Had a 5th gen 4runner , couldnt stand the constant down shifting and searching for gears (common on the 4.0)

ended up getting a GX with the V8 and it drives like a dream.

Love Toyota / Lexus . Not flashy, but nothing breaks .

very common problem on toyota master switches...you have to pulse it back up, if you hold the button too long it reverts to automatic and comes down so just pulse it back to closed.

I had a rear window issue with my Lexus. I read somewhere that if you hold down the window button in the front while slamming the back door it would fix it. It worked.

I dont remember if the process I described is exactly right but it was something like that.

Actually, you can hold the rear window switch in the down position and slam the door. That is for the ES 330 and AFAIK a unique problem that will not likely work for the 4Runner. The funniest thing about that it is the actual "official" Lexus remedy for that situation (rear windows not rolling down).

To the OP I agree with others who have suggested it is likely to be the anti-pinch system which may result in Goggle hits as to the fix.

Says someone who probably drives a Ford or Chevy and hates Toyota simply because it isn't an American company, regardless of how good its products may be.

Motors for the Tundra are built in Huntsville, AL. Who gives a shite where the parent company is located. They are putting Americans to work which is more than the Big 3 does. The Big 3 are constantly cutting jobs and moving plants out of the states.

This is just crazy to me. That anyone would pay that much for used Tacomas.
