I'll post pics of the balls

I'm not big into autographed stuff but I know a forum with some of the most knowledgeable sports auto people around. I could post your pictures there and they'd be able to tell if the signatures are genuine or not.

I do know the cards are coming back with her after labor day...

If you post pics of the cards I can give you more info about value, etc.

I suppose professional, they paid her, but she worked for them a long, long time ago.

A lot of the old sports photographs are archived somewhere or another by collection. Have you tried searching her name in Google?

Sometimes collections are donated to museums or other organizations that catalog them and keep them in their archives.

How I wish you had been around my Mother when I was away at college. She went in my room and took my binders of baseball cards collected over my previous eighteen years of life and gave them to her friend's son without asking me. Did I mention that the kids parents are literally millionaires? Little fricker snatched them up with the quickness. I came home for the summer and, as soon as I found out, hauled arse over there only to find he had sold/traded my entire collection for other stuff. Still pissed about this twenty five years later.

Thanks for opening that wound.

I got rid of mine when I was like 12, my brother still has his

rookies like bonds, frank Thomas, mark McGwire all the guys from that era except ken Griffey jr

I had an upper deck rookie ken Griffey jr card though, wish I had that one back

when I was in Washington I bought some saints topps cards to put around my rack for deployment, I never opened it, and we went to training camp at millsaps when I got back, drew brees signed the card for me and that is the only card I have.

I didn't know who whitey ford was until today
A bartender that I became friends with in Savannah told me, "I got something for you... Come help me setup around 4p"

It was an autographed Whitey Ford card. He said he was at a Con and there was a old guy just sitting by himself and so he walked over and asked and it was Whitey..

Such a solid "bartender" gift....

I have an 18-card Jordan collection from the early 90s. PSA 9's. Sucks arse I recently found out that it is worth like 10% of what it once was. I'm a huge Jordan fan or I would have cashed out by now. Dude said something like eBay and whatnot killed the business.

Who the frick said anything about $5k?

I offered $2k, which would be a very fair deal for both parties

That card is worth close to half a mil

A babe Ruth signed ball is worth at least $50k.

Of course babe Ruth is exponentially more valuable than 100% of everyone else
