Top Golf would work anywhere as long as people with money are nearby. It wouldn't work in really poor or redneck areas, obviously.

I remember going to the Dallas ones several years before they arrived in Atlanta, and it was slammed constantly. The Alpharetta one is less busy than it first was, but what amazes me is how a lot of the times the bar area is packed out even when there are open stalls on the decks. During the World Cup the place was overflowing with people apparently just there to watch games and drink.

They print money.

Sometimes it's better to think it than type it.

A friend of mine is the marketing manager for one of the topgolf locations in Texas. She said that it is on the works to build a topgolf on the northshore of new orleans.

I dunno why they would choose that over the southshore.

Lafayette somewhere around River Ranch would be perfect IMO.

I think so, I've been two in Dallas.
One seemed much bigger than the other one.

They wouldn't have to build one that had the capacity of 200 golfers.

Another prime location is the old Kennedy campus along Bayou St. John. Easy to get to from anywhere in the city and its surrounded by a ton of money.

this has been discussed a bunch.

This area does not have enough users in a short enough vicinity to sustain business.

I had some investors take a look into it when working ona development project on the northshore. Even with the northshor/greter nola area and gulf coast, there still wasn't enough gol interest to sustain and return on the investment.

After reading the poster a few posts above, perhaps they are rethinking it!

i pushed for it in meetings. Maybe it rubbed off long term!

A) Is that enough land? Top Golf takes up a huge amount of real estate.

B) Aren't they building the new Deutsche House near there?

C) Unfortunately, that is near some really bad neighborhoods. Maybe if that land stays open and City Park Golf is a huge success nearby. Maybe.

Some friends and investors looked into it as well. Not a Top Golf obviously but basically a similar concept. Deemed not a good investment.

Can someone explain the concept of it a little more to me.

I'm wondering if it would work in Charleston. We have a lot of golfers here, but we also have pretty good weather and pristine courses located all around.

I don't think topgolf attracts just golfers though. I think its a very fun place to go and do something, whether it be drinking, eating, or playing games. Though i know i dont need to convince you.

Real estate is cheaper.

Does City Park own that property? I couldnt see them selling to a business that would affect their bottom line.
