This is near the Walgreens on Old Hammond/Airline. There's a dentist office and a bowling alley nearby, and a Wal Mart neighborhood market sort of behind it.

I went and checked it out today because I was in the area. Saw all the holes there, but I didn't see any rats.

in the late 19th early 20th century there was a sport called rat baiting. They would put a dog and a certain number of rats in a cock fighting ring and the betters would bet on if the rats would kill the dog or how long it would take the dog to kill the rats. The dog won most of those fights, but occasionally the rats would kill the dog. Your cat wouldn't stand a chance against them if there were more than 15-20 of them
