Yeah, I checked my privilege when I busted my arse throughout high school trying to get a scholarship so I could be the first person in my family to go to college....and I fuggin did it with only having to take out one small student loan which was paid back halfway through the semester. I left my privilege at the door as I went to school full time, worked two jobs, all while being involved in SGA and my fraternity.

In elementary school I lived five houses down from the projects, so I got the same exact educational opportunities as some of those unpriveleged. I didn't go to private school, magnet schools...I went to the public school whose district I lived in.

I checked my privilege as I worked my minimum wage jobs so I could afford a vehicle, text books, clothes. Nothing was given to me. I bought a beat up junker of a car that made me nervous when it began to rattle at 55mph.

I checked my privilege when I realized I was born in the U.S. Of fuggin A. The land of opportunity. And guess what I found each time I checked that privilege?

I found that opportunity is there....for everyone. You just have to realize it-find your goal, work hard to achieve your goal, and instead of being some unhappy person seeding discontent and discord among the population, these SJWs could be PRODUCTIVE members of our society. This isnt the Jim Crow south anymore. If you are a productive member of society and not trying to tear down everything I stand for, then I won't give a flying fudge what you do with yourself. But when these SJWs discount the hard work, focus, effort, blood, sweat, and tears of those of us who have achieved it entirely undermines our nation as a whole. They need to realize that achievement is not privilege....hard work, not handouts.

you do not understand what privilege is. it does not preclude hard work. Everyone has some sort of privilege, especially in the US.

You ever hear of the christian term blessings? Its basically the same thing as privilege.

That's nice and all, but that is not how the term is used in practice. It is used as an institutional weapon to silence, denigrate and basically bully groups of people.
