People might think the art is not aesthetically pleasing, but art isn't the same in everyone's eyes.

Swing by the Strawberry Festival this year and you'll see. Putting black people in a strawberry festival poster when it's probably 60% - 75% blacks in attendance can hardly be seen as racist.

It does make me wonder how tone deaf whoever chose this picture is. Not sure if racist or not. Need a back story, did someone say "I have a good pic for the poster" and everyone else say "perfect"

Being that the winning artist is a Hemmerling protege, I can understand why the Festival Board would have voted for this entry, but I wouldn't be surprised if Ponchatoula catches a good bit of grief over the poster.
