However hard he may try to make a name for himself as a baseball player, Tim Tebow won’t be able to escape his past as a Heisman Trophy winner and one of the biggest stars in college football history. He was reminded of his football life in merciless fashion while playing against the Charleston RiverDogs over the weekend. When members of Tebow’s team, the Columbia Fireflies, were up to bat, Charleston put a graphic behind each player’s picture that should be immediately recognizable to SEC fans.

I still don't understand the hate for him but I understand it exists- this seems excessive even for some haters

So, they post a picture of someone who isn't Tebow? Good marketing there.

People are miserable and feel the need to drag down a guy to their level

The picture is the actual guy at bat. Hence "Not Tim Tebow."

When I first saw the article I figured it was fans doing it, probably a large group of smartasses thinking they're funny by heckling him. Gotta say I was shocked to see him being dine this way by an opposing team. It's classless and frankly should embarrass everyone associated with that team.

yep, but all the admiration for tPOS, I don't like anything Gator, but Tebow's a decent guy, and has surely accomplished more in his young life than a hell of a lot of his hater nation ever will

I will admit he's hitting way better and at a higher level than I expected him to get to.

But I don't think he's going to let that crap get to him considering he's already made it through the SEC ringer as the most high profile (and most hated) guy in the conference. And he's already got more money in the bank than the guy doing graphics at a minor league ball park in bum frick Egypt will have in his entire life.

Tebow has put people in seats this season. The crowds might be dropping off, but many of them may not have known where the stadiums were.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAY overthinking this...

This is minor league baseball at its finest. This is why minor league baseball is the greatest sport on earth.

Great athletes, great competition, and light-hearted fun. Doesn't take itself too seriously.

Next game he plays in Charleston, just wear a blue and orange shirt that says "56-6" during batting practice.
