There is a group that hangs out behind the lows every day. They'll help you for $20 and a coke.

Why a Transvestite tile installer? Are they any better than just a regular tile installer?

Something about the woman's touch with the strength of a man?

I'm not sure. Call him and I'm sure he'd be happy to text pics.

Hes also on facebook. If there's more than one profile under his name, he's the one in Zachary, LA with C & S Custom Tile.

Ask for his past experience installing marble/granite tiles. Travertine requires more care to install than regalur fired tiles that are installed with a discernible joint. Natural stones cut with an arise edge require more precision and greater skill to get a good job.

Floor prep may be the key to a good job.

I was dead set to put travertine in my new construction, but after renting a condo the last year with travertine floors, I decided against it and will be doing wood floors.

I doubt the quality varies much since it is a natural stone, but I have noticed chipping and wear that is unacceptable to me.

Something to think about.

Travertine has grades, like all materials.
