What would it take for you to sell it if you owned the site?

Atleast a million, I wouldn't sign a non compete, let the new buyer wreck the site with ads and private chats and stupid shite, then open a new site and run that

Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay.

I for one wouldn't pay $755k for this website.

I doubt anyone else would either.

How does it work? Members are anonymous to each other, but I think I remember typing in a name and email when I signed up. Most of the ad's seem to relate to my recent Google searches.

TD sells those ad spaces on the page to someone......
This site doesn't run for free.
It's ".com", not ".org"

Not so fast!

Social media companies are usually valued by the number of users, not necessarily how much revenue they bring in. For instance, Facebook currently has a market cap of $231 billion and over 1.4 billion users, for a user valuation of $165 per user. LinkedIn has about 340 million users, and their current market cap is $24 billion for a $70 per user valuation. Twitter has over 280 million users and has a market cap of $23.5 billion, for a per user valuation of about $83.

If you take the average per user valuation of those companies you get $106 per user. I don't know how many users TD has, as they don't post them at the bottom of the page anymore, but I'd guess between TD and SECRant they have at least 50,000 users. Using that number you get $5.3 million, which makes TD grossly undervalued at $755,954.
