and no end in sight to be called back.

The ER and this isn’t a surprise today, has become a doctor’s office for the uninsured.

What is your emergency? Cant be that bad if posting on TD.

Go to urgent care. Minimal wait. You have to have insurance or pay cash.

A miserable experience. My last trip was $2,000.

My brother in Christ, I feel your pain. I've made that trip four times since December. UTI, COVID, TIA/seizure, they never determined which, and another UTI that turned into Sepsis. One time we were in an ER room for nearly 24 hours before a bed opened up.

Thank you.

It will be a very long night. But that’s what we all do for our parents, or should.

I had to wait 5-6 hours before being seen when I went for a kidney stone. Never had one before so I had no idea what was going on. Saw so many people that I know had less than $500 in the bank and have no health insurance. I was wondering what happens when the bill comes in. Do they just not pay and their credit tanks?

It’s built into the price that you’re paying.

Thank you. It’s a very long and complicated story that involves legal matters along with health issues.

Only been to an ER once in my adult life and it was probably the most miserable experience I’ve ever had. Just a truly dreadful place

Negotiate it. Most hospitals will take big write offs on uninsured or patients with limited resources.

Medical doesnt effect your credit unless it goes to collections. Which if you let it get that far then its just on you. You can set up auto pay to pull like $10 a month and it will never go to collections.

I am beginning to become a pro at waiting in the ER.

Holy moly. I am tired. And we are still waiting. 4 hours, and some minutes.
