It's a valid question. While we're at it...who got it into their heads to try moldy milk the first time? Because that's what cheese is. Was it desperation or inspiration that led them to do it?

Fermenting grapes to make wine, hops to make beer, honey to make mead. I would have loved to witness the first people to try these things. And hear their reasons for trying.

The wheel. Fire. Smelting metals. Some human cultures never discovered these.

We've come a long way. And we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us. Let's not forget, in these difficult times, that we have a lot to be thankful for.

It's a beautiful planet we live on. Here's to us all learning to enjoy it.

Crawfish and oysters are always the ones I think about. How fricking hungry do you have to be to crack open a rock and eat the mucousy inside of it?
