they pretty much do the same think...band is in the lead because it's $50 cheaper

It was $250 when it first came out.
My current band was just replaced for free by Microsoft under their warranty plan back in October so I basically have a band that is only a few months old. I'll wait and get the newer one later. It's not THAT much different than the newer one for me to justify spending the money.

The plan you can buy for $20 at the Microsoft store covers that. Also covers if it gets wet, etc.
