I suppose it all came into focus for me when I was in the military. Guys from every state had my back. I have trouble being too hard on the people in any particular area that is only separated by some randomly drawn invisible line and a few laws.

A few year back in, I believe, Bogalusa, La there was a KKK "chapter" (basically a dad and his son with like two other rednecks) who somehow recruited this chick to join from Oklahoma. She gets all the way out there and changes her mind during the "initiation" so...they shot her. Bright lights shining there

Disgusting, but he didn't pass her around like an Alabama party favor so while they both are abhorrent and unacceptable by any stretch of the imagination I still think it's worse to pass them around
ETA: I'm assuming the 19 year old isn't the only victim of the "family" but the Louisiana victim being only 2 is mind blowingly sad

Phrases like these show an uncanny amount of classlessness. I ain't trying to pretend to be all high-road, but it's really frustrating you don't see how f'ked a statement like that is. It's like this poor girl's story is just a total game to you to "one up" Alabama fans.
