I worked with her for two years. That lady cared deeply about her children and would've done anything for anyone. Very religious and a very, very good person. I stayed in touch with her throughought the years until the day she was killed and she kinda served as a mentor to me with professional work matters. I was so sad when I learned what happened but I could always tell that her husband was just "off". Never could tell what it was but I knew he wasn't right. I hope he gets his arse beat daily in jail.

She did not deserve what happened and I'm thrilled that justice has been served. I'm still heartbroken for her two boys because they were so very close. Prayers to them.

I know some of their closest friends . What I was told at the time was that the perp was a really, really good guy. He suffered a terrible head injury and became hostile and violent almost overnight. This is why the wife was reticent to press charges. And this lead to her murder. I think this I actually one of the rare ones with multiple layers of complexity and ethical questions.

I can't speak to that, but I can confirm that there had been some serious issues years ago. Very likely due to infidelity on his part. He was supposedly a good person too, but I never bought it.

i remember it. I think I ranted on an OT thread about it in reference to what can be done to prevent these cases. This was shortly after the Green Murders in Gonzales. These are infuriating cases. This type of murder SHOULD be preventable. As a two time divorced dude and IT guy, I understand how you feel during a divorce but I also feel like some of these experimental gps/anklet systems need to get BATTLEFIELD READY asap. In otherwords, if you have a restraining order against you from a female significant other, you should be condemned to wear an anklet that keeps you 500 feet away from her or alerts authorities. That's my concept. Now someone needs to perfect it.

Ronald green murders ex wife and son

Those two Magee brothers out there in Pearl River are the same way.

Two brothers both commit double murders including an ex wife

The story I heard from their church peeps was that he was the " shirt off the back" guy . And then changed about a year or so before the murder after the injury. I didn't personally know him, so it's second hand information. Everybody agrees she was a wonderful lady. A truly sad and senselessly story.

Right. And research has proven that brain injuries can change personality drastically. Combined with the known injury AND the restraining order against him, he should NEVER have been near her.

That's my million dollar question. HOW do we physically stop men from killing former significant others AND often completely innocent bystanders like friends/new sig others/children.
That is a seriously fricked up epidemic that troubles me like black on black crime troubles inner city pastors.

We as society need to fix that. The statistics are sickening.

We can't entirety protect women from violent men. It's not possible. We need to give the women we personally know " outs". Places to stay , money , independent options, etc. And of course women's shelters . But it's hard to beat a homicidal maniac.

Teach our daughters to shoot at an early age and educate them on the need to protect themselves. Cops can never stop every violent crime and rarely on at the scene quick enough. A restraining order is a piece of paper.

Learn to shoot ladies. A gun is the only equalizer!

But... these murders in particular are foreseeable and preventable. something must be done differently.

Foreseeable probably.

100% preventable not likely unless you want these women to have armed guards 24/7 or any male with a Protective Order against them in jail for life.

A properly trained lady with a gun can prevent it damn near 100% of the time.

These frickers deserve to be shot anyway.
