I usually get our paralegals small wallets, organizers, stuff like that. Helps that I'm always at a kate spade, coach, etc. for black friday sales.

I don't buy gifts for bosses, and I think it's pretty abnormal in professional settings.

Our secretaries always give us a decent bottle of liquor. If your boss is a drinker you can't go wrong with that.
