There is no such thing as "transgender"

Some people are flipping out because our president said that there shouldn't be transgender people in our armed forces.
Argument from each side:
For transgender in the military- Anyone who is willing to fight for and protect our country should be allowed serve - no questions asked. It's no one's business if they "identify" as a man or a woman - even if they are not physically that specific sex.
Against transgender in the military- People who are transgender or in "transition" shouldn't be allowed to serve in the military because they are psychotic, unstable, and unable to "fight like a man." They pose a risk during actual combat. "Transgender" people should be mental patients.
There is one Dr. that believes there is no such thing as "transgender." He also believes that these people have a mental illness. LINK
What say you OT? Would you want to be serving on side of a "transgender" person when the shite hits the fan?
