I think every course(I am taking a new course every 5 weeks) has an online group project. I lucked out in my first course, one of the girls in my group offered to do all the powerpoint slides for us, we just had to send her what we wanted on our slides. I've heard from other nurses that have done this program that sometimes you get stuck in crappy groups and end up doing most of the work yourselves. The group project in this course is in a couple weeks so we will see if I get stuck in a crappy group(some of my classmates look like they are struggling based on the posts they make)


Having spent many years posting on here has actually helped me in regards to class. We have to post on the class messageboard so many times a week for participation points. I can tell those who are clearly not comfortable with the online environment.

ASU has a lot of online programs. I was gonna go through them for my nursing stuff but got a better discount through GCU and ASU didn't do direct billing with my work(GCU does direct billing with my work and they offer a 20% discount off tuition for employees at my hospital).

I got an interesting phone call yesterday. A former customer of mine that has moved on to another company will have a managers position come open after the first of the year. He basically offered me the job but we didn't discuss terms. And it's in Houston. But it would get me back into operations instead of in the field

One chick in my current course decide to make a long post complaining to the instructor about how she wasn't made aware the expectations of the class ahead of time(yet everyone else seems to pretty much grasp this). Also saying that since she works 12 hour shifts, she shouldn't have so much schoolwork. Instead of privately emailing the instructor with this(like most of us would do)....she posts it on the board for alll of us to see. What an idiot.

I wouldn't go anywhere now either but it would be a good opportunity with a company that's better suited to withstand this downturn than the one I'm currently with
