I'm concerned about the fact the sum of the angles of any triangle is 180.

Then take a square. A right triangle is half of a square.

But the sum of the angles of a square are only 280, even though you've doubled the right triangle in area.

That's some shady shite right there.

tan(x) = sin(x) / cos(x)

sin^2(x) + cos^2(x) = 1

1 + tan^2(x) = sec^2(x)
