Vaccines do not cause autism. End of story. You know how that shite probably got started? Autism rates have likely been pretty steady throughout history, except autistic people in the past were likely lumped in with numerous other disorders. Autism has been specifically diagnosed more and more in the last 50 or 60 years or so, which just happens to be when vaccines were becoming more common. Combine this with the fact that signs of autism start to show up in kids at the same time they are getting vaccinated, and you end up with a bunch of dummies who don't know the difference between correlation and causation thinking they've found something to blame for their child's condition.

quote:

Yeah, if the child dies from not getting a vaccine that would be pretty significant... But would you rather know that your child is in a much better place or would you rather be in a situation where you have to take care of your child for the next____years until you die because they aren't capable of caring for themselves??
Uh, I would rather have to take care of my child than to just fricking let him die and be thankful that he's in "a better place". What kind of psycho would prefer his kid to die than to be autistic?

quote:

Still their decision any way you look at it just like it's yours..

But again, it shouldn't be your decision, because your stupid arse decisions affect everyone else in this case.

And still, the comments to the article might be an indicator that this anti-vaccination trend won't let up anytime soon.

The anti-vaccination crowd may piss me off more than any other main stream crowd in the United States. Even if they were right, and that rarely vaccinations would cause autism, the chances are significantly less of getting that than gettin a lethal disease that the vaccination is trying to make sure you don't get.

. It seems that something like poverty would have to be a much bigger contributer to people not getting vaccinated.

There are programs for the poor to get their children immunized.

I hate anti vaccine people though. Wish they could see a baby on a breathing machine cause they got whopping cough. See that same baby die because herd immunity for a childhood disease that is easily prevented is weakened now because people believed some whore that used to be on MTV. The same whore that came out and later said "oops, my kid didn't even really have autism, my bad".

Stoped reading right there.
This.

And isn't it cute that the a-hole shill Penn chimes in right on cue?

I wonder why the CFR and their shill Penn didn't bother telling us that the 1950s and 60s polio shots contained cancer. And people like Oschner knew it before it was distributed nationwide? Guess it slipped their mind.

I highly recommend picking up a copy of "Dr. Mary's Monkey" and read about Oschner and the cancer-producing labs in NOLA back then and how it mixed with the polio vaccine, and how they distributed it knowing what was in it.
They knew it would cure the polio and figured that by the time cancer became epidemic they would have a cure for that too. Oops!
No worries, polio is cured!!!

Oh, BTW, you'll never guess who was helping in those labs at that time....A fella by the name of Lee Harvey Oswald.
Yeah, that LHO. Just keepin' it all in the family.

BTW, a couple of years back, when the bird flu was going to kill everyone, I had a doctor tell me that even they weren't taking the shot. It was dark and thick and even they didn't know what was in it.

But hey folks, keep doing what you're told. After all the government loves you and would never do anything that wasn't in your best interest.

ETA: Did a quick Google search, found this

98 million Americans were given polio vaccine contaminated with cancer-causing virus, admits CDC

When one of the key names of a medical movement is Jenny McCarthy, you're just setting yourself up for trouble.

I'm willing to bet her sons autism has more to do with her rampant drug and alcohol use- not to mention promiscuous sex- than it does a vaccination.

I saw that article circulate Facebook recently about her son not being autistic, but it's literally the only source I could find on the subject, and it was a blog post, and it was three years old, and Jenny McCarthy denied the post had any truth. It's weird that it got such wide attention just this month though, given the obscurity of the source and the age of it.

You don't have to wonder why nobody told you. It's so idiots such as yourself wouldn't start a panic over nothing, resulting in mass hysteria and people not getting vaccinated.

Do you really think there's a government conspiracy to kill everyone? Do you realize how stupid you sound? The government needs people alive in order to operate.

From a psychological standpoint, I can understand the passion behind the anti-vaccination movement if your child has autism, although that passion is misplaced.

My child has autism, and trust me it does make you more non-interfering with regards to anything to do with a developing child. Even if the evidence shows no link, it doesn't make you any less paranoid about possible consequences that we don't yet know about.

That's the deal with autism. It is neurological and very complex. Until we even have the slightest clue about potential causes and triggers the mass hysteria will continue.

There is now a movement towards non-hospitalization and non-induced pregnancies for this very reason. People don't want to interfere and would rather be passive until we get a hold on the causes.

I am not anti-vaccine BTW. We just had our second child and she will be vaccinated. But I also can understand the other side.

I certainly feel for you and your family. And please don't take this response as refering to your child. However, as a general proposition I think we're going to start seeing more and more evidence come out that mental disorders such as Autism, Aspergers, etc. are being SEVERELY overdiagnosed. Because of this you have more and more people wanting a concrete answer as to what caused their child to have this mental disorder. An answer of "well, we were wrong and you child actually doesn't have____" is not sufficient. As such, you're getting a greater number of people eschewing years of medical evidence re: the benefits of vaccinations in an unsubstanitated effort to avoid their child developing a disorder which in an of itself may be incorrectly diagnosed. I would have no problem with the anti-vaccination crowd if their choice didn't adversely effect others. But their choosing not to have their children vaccinated brings with it the risk that previously eradicated and deadly diseases will begin reocurring in young children and causing deaths that were very much preventable.

It's not about agreeing or disagreeing. It has been proven several times over that there is not a link between vaccination and autism. The Wakefield paper has been discredited numerous times.
