So this is silly now? Is the Bible silly? Is Immaculate Conception silly? Is the Holy Hand-Grenade silly?

How about you lose the condescending attitude when you talk about our faith?

It's not the cloth that covered Christ after his crucifixion. There is zero evidence that Christ ever walked this earth.

Only thing that we do have are the eyewitness accounts and teachings from the apostles. Which in turn leads to the having faith part and believing.

Only evidence that we have are artifacts/cities that have been found that coincide with the old testament in the teaching of the Bible.

The Turin Shroud is not a medieval forgery, as has long been claimed, but could in fact date from the time of Christ's death, a new book claims.

Sounds like proof to me!

Pretty sure the Jewish historian Josephus from the first century mentions Jesus a couple of times in his manuscripts. There is little debate that Jesus actually existed, the debate is on his divine nature.

Even if the cloth was from the time of Jesus, how are they certain that's the actual shroud they covered Jesus in? This comes from the church that was also selling pieces of the Holy Cross at the same time that the so-called "Shroud" was found. You have to be a fool that people renowned for selling snake oil before it was even a thing would somehow have come up with a 1300 year old tarp.

Seriously, who kept the shroud? Where was the shroud found? There's no details. You have to be a fool to think that that actually wrapped around Jesus Christ himself. I have a Holy Grail for sale in case you're interested.

Has it been proven to not be a forgery like the Shroud?

But for those who are sure its a fake, how do you think they made it?

Found an old burial cloth with someone wrapped in it, thought it kind of looked like Jesus' face, and then ran with it. The ancient portraits of Jesus make him look like Apollo, which I think we can safely write that off as fiction with his appearance, so we have only the most vague idea of what he looks like, but I can just about assure that he didn't look exactly like this:

Negative, there was a film about it shown at the Vatican Pavilion at the '84 Fair.

Sometimes there is just no recovering from a poorly worded, smart arse remark

You will be forever remembered as "that guy" who called out Christians for believing that Earth was created on the day Jesus was born
