Mistakes happen, but it doesn't help society that most truck drivers are stupid.

I bet those panhandlers are appreciating the people being stuck in traffic.

Overloaded

Edited to add: the trailer may have clipped the overpass support first weakening the trailer.

Driver is probably already looking for a job and it won't be driving a truck again.

It involves only one truck, but it will take half a day to clean up and inconvenience thousands.

Truck driver logic:

Clearly the overpass is at fault for not making room for the truck.

Damn four wheelers. It's not my fault that my truck blocks the street.

Nah, if you are somehow too stupid, dangerous, or high to drive a tractor trailer, you can easily get a job behind the wheel of a dump truck.

I think dump truck companies actually encourage heavy alcohol consumption.

Yeah those are even worse than normal trucks.

I know a person that has a metal rod in her spine because one drunk cane truck driver didn't remember to look both ways when crossing LA1.

Of course not. They're Mexicans.
