It's not the cops. I worked with black men in Baton Rouge 25 years ago that wouldn't come into Denham to pick up there check. LPSO was a joke in those days. Odom Graves buddies were all deputies. Most were fat and old. Willie changed that and Jason has continued to improve the department.
The guys 25 years ago were scare of the old rednecks that hated blacks. In those days, blacks in Livingston parish lived in the quarters and there only. To try to move out meant serious consequences. The parish is not like that anymore. Most of the white trash are white thugs. Although, Colyell still is NOT safe for a black man!
