While many women are self conscious about their bodies, feel too fat, or don’t like certain body parts, it could be safe to say that nearly all women feel embarrassed or ashamed about their bits “down there.” They certainly don’t seem to imagine their female parts as being beautiful. But one woman decided to try and change this.

Layla Martin was inspired to capture the gulf between how a woman sees her body, and the way her lover views it, so she started an unusual project. Women were invited into a photographic studio to have their vaginas photographed.

Here is the touching result of her inspiration.

*The feature image used for this piece has been controversial, however, it was originally used and chosen by the filmmakers.

Larry Flynt had the same idea a long time ago.

Let women believe they are there to "be empowered" and you take pictures of their snatch.

Women need to stop being so sensitive about their feelings.

I "feel" this, I "feel" that. My "feelings", your "feelings", everyone's "feelings".

Man the frick up.

shite.

Why no pic in the OP? It's art.

Um....there's a reason "bumping uglies" is a euphemism for sex.

Can you imagine how much feminazis would flip if dudes were "empowering themselves" by taking dick pics?

Those dudes are probably more sensitive about their own vaginas.

#JUNKPROUD

As long as you put that hashtag, sending dick pics to that chick you met at happy hour is art and an expression of yourself.

I have a sneaky suspicion that after their flattering comments about their significant other's snatch, they all got blown that night.

I've met some chicks throughout my life that would make me think this is not safe to say.
