Hawaii has the second highest population of LDS worshipers in the nation. A shite ton of them end up going and living in Utah.
Yep, Mormons got to the Islands and converted them before anyone else. Generations after generations of mormons.
There's even a BYU-Hawaii

Another reason weed should be illegal, it apparently causes a gluten allergy.
Also, "Buffets" we don't care what it is, we just want a lot of it at a reasonable price
"hotdog" seems about right for WV

Believe it or not, there are some fricking dime pieces on that campus. It makes UH Manoa look like a county fair in Alabama.

No doubt. Mormons are typically wealthy, and BYU-Hawaii is a very popular place for wealthy Mormons to send their daughters.

They used yelp listing to make the map. The states with a higher percentage of a certain category compared with with average percentage in the rest of the states is the "dispoportinately popular cuisine." Or any other words what does each state have more establishments of than most other states.
Flaw I'm thinking is this depends on what a particular place decides to call themselves.

When I lived in Maryland it was seafood. Never saw a Peruvian restaurant.
