Sure, but the type 1s and type 2s in the OP are exceedingly rare in both the MGTOW movement and society at large. The vast vast vast majority of actual MGTOWers are type 3 and beyond and it's definitely not entirely by choice.

No. "Going your own way" simply implies that you follow your own standards. Not the standards conservatives set for you. DEFINITELY NOT the standards liberals set for you. You follow your own way of life.
The idea that you have to follow conservative societal norms just to get sex is disingenuous.
Basically these guys are saying they aren't going put up with Feminism bull***. They also are not going to follow traditional Male roles wherein the Male sacrifices for the female especially if the woman isn't worth it (which is most cases)
Ironically, certain posters on this border think along the same lines as MGTOW, they stick with conservatism because of the false machismo they have.

The show's people watch are more indicated of taste and not social interaction.
Simpsons/Family Guy are episodic shows. They have a loose encompassing narrative in favor of self contained episodes. They focus primarily on humor (with a few episodes for character development). They rely heavily on slapstick humor and toilet jokes (not exactly the definition of maturity).
Anime is plot-focused narrative. Each episode relies on the other (exception of filler arcs). Character growth plays a major role in the story of most anime. Humor exists but it takes the form of a character aspect rather than the focus of the overall show. The plot and action are what motivate the audience, not necessarily the humor.
The counter to this is gag anime. And certain shows just have more humor in general.
I've watched both types of shows and they target different audiences.
