My uncle's wife (she's 7 years older than me) is a radiologist, and makes a killing. She gets 8 weeks off each year also

My tutor has been on a student visa for like 15 years. Bachelor's in EE and another one in math. Master's in math and physics. Now finishing up his PhD in physics. Dude still has a 4.0

He supports himself by tutoring kids from middle school to college. Does pretty damn well, but saves all of it for some unknown reason

I guess all the broke MBA's from shitty schools weigh down the average for all the mega-rich CEO's, New York finance folks, etc. with MBA's.

But I'd say the ceiling for a masters in finance or an MBA from a good school with strong alumni is much higher than those others on the list.

The floor is just $0

I would have thought Economics, MIS or Finance would have been up there too. Senior portfolio managers at my friend's firm make $250k. He is one and is only 33

I'm not sure how many of those guys are getting Masters degrees in those fields...

My experience has been that the movers and shakers in the investment management world tend to have either the CFA or an MBA from an elite school.

I'm 27 and starting one next year. The top rated ones are very well-respected now and have identical curriculum to their brick and mortar counterpart.

They also don't appear as "online MBA" on your resume, just "MBA".

My company is paying for most of it and I have to do it at night while I continue to work, but I think it will be very worth it, especially if I get it without much debt at all relative to other people getting their MBA from good schools (likely less than 10k left after my company reimburses).

I know several that have both, or an MBA/JD program.

It's just a really, really prevalent degree.

I would bet the median incomes for MBA's from mid-tier state schools are pretty high in the grand scheme of things. It's the ubiquitous University of Phoenix and University of Maryland Online degrees that drag that number down (and they are everywhere).

But yea, the HBS/GSB/Wharton/Kellogg/Booth/Sloan cohort are in the $130,000 - $150,000 range on average right out of school and probably $200,000 - $250,000 on average five to ten years down the line.

Correct and if I can't get accepted into one of those schools then I'll pass on it

I hear the CRNA programs are really selective. I think my brother said there were only two programs nearby (BR and Birmingham) and they only select like 9 or so applicants.
