If you try to please everyone you will please no one. The people wanting him to apologize were never going to accept his apology and they will continue to ostracize him. In caving like he did, he lost all respect of those who supported him. You stand for something or you fall for anything. I think Drew’s a good guy but he should have bowed his back and stood on his own two legs and stuck by his position. This is still America after all and we are still entitled to an opinion

Probably the most important thing to come from all of this. If your opinion doesn’t align with the cancel culture it’s a lose lose

He is just tone deaf. I mean I’ve never thought he was the most bright so I’m not surprised by his comments.

They are never going to respect him anymore, and worse yet, he will not respect himself for it. He’d be much better off making a public statement saying he was wrong to allow himself to be manipulated and intimidated to deny what he believes, and personally id announce my retirement right then and there and let them all choke on it. He’s never going to hurt for money, and the people love him and will love him more for making a stand.

Lesson of the day. Tell the media you are not doing any interviews on any subject. Stay out of the line of fire. Nothing good will come from opening your mouth in his position. It was a trap plain and simple and he got caught up in it. Drew is a good guy and this shows how insane this movement has become.
