Maybe not that much, but it can't be far off. There has been a tremendous void in that kind of leadership in the black community for the last half century now.

Those shite bags that murdered him have caused so much trouble for both the black and white communities.

I'd say the importation of slaves is the worst thing that happened.

It is in the conversation for sure. A true leader killed allowing dipshits to rise to fame.

Killing MLK, while tragic, probably did more to advance the cause and raise awareness in white America. Now as far as what collateral things happened as a result, it is hard to say.

It created this mess plus held back technological advances for a very long time.

On top of the whole "That was super messed up to begin with" part

Holy shite that's wrong, and still funny.

I really believe black America would have made tremendous tremendous progrest through the 70s with MLK around.

Instead, his murder angered and divided the black community. The power void let groups like the Nation and Black Panthers to become the message.

Quite the contrary, actually. MLK, Jr.'s biggest opponent was the black community. By the time of the garbage strike, he had lost a ton of support. His death made him a martyr. It rekindled his movement.

The worst thing to ever happen to America was importing slaves into the continent.

When McDonald's discontinued the McRib.

Show me a more peaceful time in America than when the McRib was around. You can't.

Anything that happened before I was born was the best possible thing to ever happen, otherwise a slight change in history may have thrown off my parents banging
