When the mental health team was preparing to go into the cell, Cain tried to "harm himself in his cell using a sweatshirt,"

Probably not a legitimate attempt if he saw them about to come in

So basically we'll recreate The Most Dangerous Game

Yes. Excellent story. I've started a thread on the subject more than once.

Not that the idea is anything novel in the entertainment world.

He knows he's gonna fry anyways so he figures he'll do it on his own terms.

I understand why they stopped him from doing that but I just can't imagine any guard doing it out of the goodness of his heart and the guard having disgust in his attitude while doing it.

Whatever money they would spend for defense or even settle would be cheaper than the cost of a trial and the cost to house him for the next two decades on death row while he waits to ride the needle.

Oh the guy survived so cost of life in prison. 4 decades.

This.

The litigation from hanging himself would be cheaper than keeping him in prison for the rest of his life.

This might be a dumb question, but is the family really going to do that? "We admit that we were part of creating the worst kind of monster that our species has to offer, and you let him die prematurely, pay us"

Seems like the shame would kick in. Maybe I'm being naive.

You should take this act on the road. That is some funny shite.
