They probably don't want to pay his family.

If they didn't stop him, they would have been sued by the family. While they ultimately would have won, it would have cost them time and money.

Also, no one wants to potentially go to jail for not doing their job and watching a thug die.

With that said, I hope that motherfricker gets tortured in jail every day for the rest of his life.

shite if he had a death wish he should've just called me. I'd have put a bullet in his skull and been done with it. Both parties walk away satisfied.

Really makes me wish when a case is such a slam dunk that we could create some sort of express lane justice system.

I'm in favor of hanging him in front of one of the monuments that are currently in question. Make it a public spectacle and reiterate the fact that all lives matter and pieces of shite like this will face the same fate if they commit similar crimes against law abiding citizens.

His safety, while in jail, is their responsibility. He just got put into a paper gown and steel bunk cell with 24 hr monitoring if they do it right.

This might be a dumb question, but is the family really going to do that? "We admit that we were part of creating the worst kind of monster that our species has to offer, and you let him die prematurely, pay us"

Seems like the shame would kick in. Maybe I'm being naive.

The kind of family who created a monster like this probably doesn't care how they make money, even if through such a law suit.

Yep they will do that, and the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division will treat him like a hero and act like that was a tragedy.

Y'all relax. My comment was tongue in cheek. I don't really expect them to just let the dude kill himself.

I wish the state could sue his family for raising such a POS.
