But yes, she could’ve also had precocious puberty related to her condition, related to the medications (growth hormone and later on testosterone and estrogen) commonly used with some types of dwarfism, as a result of sexual abuse, or just coincidentally.

True, but the staff at the mental hospital did say she had public hair. That's not normal.

Oh that makes sense. I didn't think about hormone treatments.

There is so much to digest in this story it transcends the TV board.
I am going to have to check it out, I like when a documentary has a lot more information than assumed. Like the one on Netflix years ago "Abducted in Plain Site" I think the name is.

I'm on episode 3 (I think), and yes, this little chick is creepy and disturbed. But these "parents" are horrible fricking ppl. I wouldn't treat a dog the way they treated her.

The adoptive father is possibly the biggest sociopathic over dramatic closeted dude I’ve seen in my life
The ginger neighbor dude is possibly the biggest pussy I’ve seen in my life

You mean the anonymous staff, who sounded like orderlies -if they even worked there at all-and if they even truly witnessed these things first hand-but we’ll never know bc they’re so credible that they didnt even need to leave their names—who are flagrantly disclosing protected patient information?
Those staff at such an illustrious institution that apparently they failed to recognize the blaring signs of abuse that any half retarded parent would pick up on?
Maybe it’s just me, but I do not find these staffs accounts beyond scrutiny.

Really depends on what her true age is, or was at the time.
If she was really born in September 2003, she would’ve 8 at the time of that admission, closer to nine. And in that case, yes it would be on the early side of things, but it wouldn’t be abnormal, technically speaking.

Rest of the story gets more and more crazy.
Like how crazy?
I skimmed a few posts and some people are saying they have accounts from witnesses about things that happened, but nobody know did they actually happened.
Do we know anything factual about this story or is it all just “well we think this went this way……”

I'm towards the end, and I have no idea what the truth is.

Apparently the most moral and level headed person in this story is the autistic son.

Can’t stand shows where you finish and don’t really know what happened. I’ll pass.

quote:The prosecutor here tracked down her birth mother in Ukraine, and there's no doubt Natalia is really her originally claimed age. The adoptive parents, especially the mother were absolute pieces of work.
Seems like they could have done some sort of DNA testing to get her actual age.
The bulshittery in Indianapolis getting her age officially changed without her input in any way prevented any legal claims of child abuse, and all the newspaper here said about it is that it was impossible to retract that ruling for some reason.
Absolute shite people in my opinion.

The accounts from neighbors are to be believed because they were eyewitnesses to Natalia's behavior. Many had her in their homes, with their children, and tried to look out for her well-being, at least initially.
None of them recall seeing the adoptive mother around, and I think only one or two ever saw Michael from a distance.
That said, the neighbors obviously couldn't know everything that was going on with her, and spoiler alert...no one is in jail for any crime, apparently because there was not enough evidence.
ID teased a sitdown interview special with Natalia later this summer, so perhaps that could shed some more light on the truth.

Yeah he’s easily the most believable interview
Although the baws from the creamery seemed legit

She was failed by multiple adults throughout her life and turned into a weirdo
Seems pretty cut and dry

I feel like the "parents" are both narcissists. They adopted a little person for the way it would make them look to other people. But they weren't expecting her to have mental health issues or a history of abuse (IMO). So they made up the age thing so they could legally be rid of her.

The dad reminds me of Cameron from Modern Family. He's flaming.
