I guess panhandling on their website wasn’t enough as I just received an email begging for money. I’ll donate all the money I played on dfs in Louisiana last year to the cause.

Edited: just saw this

quote:

John Georges, who owns a billion-dollar group of businesses including, The Advocate newspaper, said Wednesday, March 25 the plea for public donations came after people in the community asked how they could help.

quote:

Every penny matters in the newspaper business,” Georges said by phone Wednesday. “If there are people in the community who want to contribute to make their paper last longer, we are accepting.

Piss on this guy....

The Advocate is loaded with “journalists” who for years now have bad-mouthed the oil & gas/petrochemical industry.

Now that those industries are bleeding, they’re begging for donations to keep their rag afloat?

All I’ve got for them is a middle finger.

When you hire idiot activists and produce a shite product, you will go out of business. The only reason The Advocate and their crew of liberals isn't bankrupt yet is because older people still subscribe.

Exactly, maybe this also lets them unload the piece of excrement Bob Mann. Guy has made a living stealing from the government and putting out his idiotic screed in this “publication”.

Watch Flynn Foster jump in here and buy them up, change the culture to one similar to Guaranty, and the paper thrive.

Pandemics like this is where news stations, especially local ones, should be making their money. People need true, local information as quick as possible.

Unfortunately, the news is still sensationalized and just want clicks, facts be damned. Local news is useless and more and more people realize they are better off without it.

We know.

Good product enough people will support it in good or bad times.

Bad products are going to fail no matter what.

All they did was kiss Obama's arse for 8 years and now all they do is rag on Trump. Why don't they ask the Obama supports for the money.
