Some billionaire should create survival pods with live video and audio for people to pay for the opportunity to ride one of these big storms out. Gotta be a better PPV event than a Jake Paul bout.

Look up the survivor accounts (there were very few) from the 1856 Last Island hurricane. They had an excuse: they had no idea what was heading their way. I would NEVER voluntarily experience that.

ETA: Newspaper account of victims and survivors, complete with descriptions of how they were able to survive

I'm sure certain areas will have channels going from Gulf to Bay too.

it won't be prudent.
helicopter cannot fly in 75 mph no less 150.
the 10 to 15 foot surge under the eye could wipe grand isle clean. even if it misses direct hit surge could be
8. 8 knocks down houses.

So I can at least understand there's a bit of logic to, "My house is on stilts" (cough, wave action, cough) but how do they plan to leave afterwards? Do they drive disposable cars? How exactly do you secure a boat to survive a Cat 4 surge and winds?

I'll hang up and read.

Interview a few minutes ago : Reporter " Are you worried?" Answer " Of course we are, we're not that stupid! ". Any trailers will be found in S.America later in the year. Good, bad, or ugly, the crabs will be fatter than usual this year.

There is no way anyone survives this with hurricane. No where to run or hide on that isle, Baws if you are on this site and on Grand Isle Prayers
