Tuerlings is an older campus but they've made improvements the last decade in facilities and academics. It used to have a reputation as the "working class" Catholic school but I think they've closed a lot of gaps they had with STM the past decade.

I have connections and work with both schools.
Preface: they are both good schools.
Many teachers at STM feeder schools send their own children to Teurlings for cultural reasons. The Teachers trust the staff, culture and formation path at Teurlings more.
Reality: if you student excels academically, Teurlings is the largest dual enrollment school in the state. more than 10 students graduated Teurlings with more than 23 hours of college credit in the class of 2020.
Preface: they are both good schools.

Went to STM for a few months during Katrina.... I didn't think that many insufferable, snobby shits lived in Laffy....hope that helps

STM has around 232 Students per grade

As an outsider looking in, it always seemed like Teurlings was more disciplined, blue collar. STM more laid back with deeper pockets.

Send them to Berkner/Sacred Heart for a school & Southern culture experience.

I went to public school in Youngsville in the late 80/early 90s before my 4 years at STM. It was not easy at first. Like most high school experiences, you get out what you put in.
I have very good memories of my time at STM. They treated me very well.
