quote:Meh. We are talking about relatively worthless beaurocrats; they were probably too lazy to take the extra five minutes to make the form more comprehensive.
That is what I don't get. Even though it's insignificant in the long run they are appeasing the minority. AGAIN

I don't think there is a major effect on children whether the form says parent or mom, dad. shite, I may have only seen my birth certificate once and don't even remember seeing the mother and father part since I already knew them.
The entire reason I posted the article is to show another case of the minority winning. Now it is just entertaining.

Feel free to give me a reason a biological parent shouldn't be listed on abortion certificate.

So, it doesn't matter to you, but it bothers you at the same time.

When it comes down the road to a serious genetic problem and he's in the hospital and they need to find out who the mother and father were in order to find his medical history and can't, I bet it's not so insignificant.

This thread has done a complete 180. See post above yours about abortion. Just entertaining at this point.

This probably effects less than 1% of the population seeing that homosexuals make up about 4% and not very many of those birth a child. Amazing how much pull such a small group has.

Fox News just had the most ridiculous and clown-like discussion on this topic.
"How are parents supposed to know who is Parent 1 and who is Parent 2?!?!? Are they just supposed to flip a coin or something?"
Why are we pretending that IVF doesn't occur with lesbian couples (and an outside donor), or adoption at birth with both lesbian and gay couples? I don't agree with it from a moral standpoint, but what's done is done. America isn't a theocracy.
They insulted my intelligence by airing that segment. Fox genuinely thinks that their core audience is borderline retarded. Based on their ratings, they may be right. I'm just reminded why I can't watch fox for extended periods of time. I say that as a conservative.

the legal birth certificate should list the names of the biological mother and biological father
That doesn't happen all the time with same sex couples. If a guy signs a birth certificate and it is later found that he isn't the biological father it doesn't mean the birth certificate is changed.

Do you consider life to be a game to be won or lost between two teams?
If so, what are the teams?

Welcome to the fold my brother. I stopped watching that insulting/pandering BS a decade ago when I realized they really were targeting an extreme group of people as their audience.
MsNBC does the same shite just with the other side of the isle.

I'll watch Fox occasionally depending on the show. I know it's geared towards the elderly and uneducated/uninformed. They'll never report news without also telling you how to feel about it, and a lot of people like that because they can turn their brains off and still keep up with current events.
