Only want to be able to measure distance/speed while using my road bike on the trainer. I use my running GPS watch when on the actual road.
Bought a wired Bell from Walmart and can't even get it on the darn bike and I'm really tired of fooling with it.
Trying to keep my fitness up on the bike while no running allowed for the the short term but I'm a numbers kind of girl. Thanks.

I use the Cateye Wireless. It works great.

This one. Pretty easy to install and use.
If you never ever want to buy another GPS unit for the bike, a Garmin 500 + the magnet kit for reading speed/cadence. I bought a used one for $150.

A good, wireless Cateye will run ~$50. My last one lasted 5 years with no problems and was very accurate once you get it calibrated with the wheel correctly.

I have the cateye stealth 10 and its a great basic one that uses gps so no wires or much to setup.

Download the cyclemeter app on your phone

Problem I've found with most cheap wired computers is the sensor goes on the front wheel / fork. This won't work for your indoor trainer since the front wheel won't be turning.
Look for a wireless computer that measures cadence and speed with both sensors in a single unit, that way it has to go on your rear wheel.

You know people worked out BEFORE technology was an excuse not to... Right?
