A group of friends and I will be in Key West for a week in early December. A majority of the group has never been. What are some of the must do's. Nightlife, dining, and anything else?

It's where the tropics meet New Orleans. Check out Captain Tony's for live music and drinks.

You have to see the freakish 6-toed cats before they take over the world!
Had some nice cocktails at Capt Tony's and Rick's. BUT hit Sloppy Joes because everyone will tell you that if you didn't go there you were not properly fleeced

I am getting the vibe that it's a bit cleaner; island themed bourbon street. Your few touristy places mixes in with a few nice old pubs with a lot of history.

Enjoy Cuban food?
Juan Loves Lucy, first or second block of Duval St. It's a hole in the wall, if you blink you miss the Entrance. Fantastic food, and the owner is right there, she's glad to see you.

I enjoy just about any food. We will be looking for this place and will absolutely hit the marina.

Alonzo's in the marina area has the best happy hour 1/2 price drinks and appetizers and the app menu is huge.
But Saluté on Higgs Beach has an awesome shrimp salad.

It's dated. Lower your expectations.

I live a 3.5 boat ride away, been once. Clean Bourbon Street, had a great time. No must see places, just walk the strip. It is a good time.
