I moved to Hollywood from Miami and don't regret it one bit. You can get a very nice home for 350-400 here, and commuting to Ft Lauderdale for work goes against traffic so it should be pretty painless.

Trust me. Doing a drive from these areas to Ft Lauderdale every day would get old real fast. shite you'll spend 40 minutes everyday sitting at Glades Rd on 95
Definitely this. I live west of West Palm Beach and would not go further North. It is nice up there but the commute will be bad. The commute from my area to work is 50-60 minutes one way. Longer if some idiot decides to screw up the turnpike. You could definitely look in the Boynton Beach or Boca Raton areas.
