I've never understood the purpose of making fun of anyone who struggles. Except women with herpes. They deserve ridicule. But poor, fat etc I give a pass to.

Yes. One apt I lived in had a wacky thermostat. It would always be crazy hot upstairs and crazy cold downstairs. I did occasionally purposefully use the oven to help heat the downstairs. I would do the same at the rent house I lived in later (post poverty) due to the lack of central heating and the fact that only one window unit had a heating element.

I was poor in college and lived on Ramen, Hot and Ready pizza, fraternity food, chinese, taco bell, and 30 packs of Miller High Life.
Ironically, I was very thin. Now if I just look at a pizza and beer I have to loosen my belt.

It's mostly just depression from knowing you're poor as shite and there not really being an out anytime soon due to cheap oil.
Tried to get a leg up and finished my masters degree but yeah.... still poor. Nobody hiring white males these days.
