Yes or no? Pediatrician doesn't think it is necessary but the wife an I are on the fence. Thoughts?

Considering the majority of people have it (lots have it and don't realize it), yes. Why not?. It can't be that expensive.

I'd probably consider a different doctor as well.

Yes. HPV can cause anal, penial, and throat cancer in men as well as them serving as "silent" carriers for it when they have sexual contact with women.

I think whether you have your son receive this is strictly a personal matter....however, I really can't wee why any physician would be opposed to the idea.

Ask him/her WHY they think that. I'd use that answer to decide whether or not to choose a new pediatrician.

It doesn't contain any human fetal cells from aborted fetuses like some other vaccines. The only thing questionable is it contains aluminum but in smaller amounts that what's in the air. Why not get it?
