Can no one at least try recalling that bitch? I know it’s likely an exercise in futility, but I’m sure you could get people out in droves. How many people live in lakeview? Surely a large portion of those folks are sick of her.

I know you guys think all nola citizens vote the same, but she is extremely unpopular here right now even amongst her actual base.

Her base does and that’s all that matters there

Post COVID the stupid bitch shouldn’t have been re elected but she has one of the absolute dumbest voting bases in the country. Even when she’s out the idiots will just vote another shite bag in her place, look at the history of mayors there

Its not easy to find a 17k first class flight. Those should have been max 5-6k

Yeah, it is common for businesses to require employees to book through a travel agency or portal. But, they are typically places like American Express Global Business Travel or Egencia, not Going Places LLC with no online presence.

Right, but the City of NOLA isn't a business. It's a government entity with a "bid" process designed to take the lowest bid (or most connected), not the best/common sense bid.

Could have sworn I read that Going Places Inc has a contract with the City. Can't find that at the moment though.

cgrand posted it in the travel requirements.

I'm still in shock that a nearly $18k first class ticket was the most economical option. Especially if it was (supposed to be) booked two weeks before the flight.

Was it 17k just for her or for her entourage?

I think it would be interesting to see yearly travel expenditures by the mayor since around 2006 or so. I’d have to believe she’s tripled spending in comparison to others for these “business trips”.
