Rickey Smiley had some prominent guests on his show this morning. The common them was put in various paraphrased quotes:
"these jackasses rioting are part of the reason people like Brown get shot by cops."
"these rioters need their asses beat. If Browns family can show restraint then so should they. Protest and make changes by running for office. This shows they don't give a damn about Mike Brown or Ferguson."
Smiley himself was even mocking the extremists by replying "how dare you come here and say that kind of thing." b/c even black leaders are being shamed for suggesting they take peaceful steps.
TLDR most blacks don't support this rioting/looting crap.

Im glad to hear that if true. It would be nice to see more people who think that way. I dont think black people just dont care when its black on black crime, they just seem to turn a blind eye to it instead of figuring out ways to fix the problem. But as you said im sure a decent amount of that is media driven, but some is not

I suspect that blacks keep their discussions of "black on black crime" largely to themselves because they fear a new "war on black on black crime" which would entail a more incarcerations of black men. I also think "black on black" is somewhat disingenuous. I live in a majority black town and our residents aren't shooting one another. It is more "ghetto black on ghetto black" crime.

I made one related post and removed it shortly after for fear of my redneck friends.
I had this idea:
Why didn't the insurance providers of these local businesses pool together some $$ for a trust for Wilson.
Manufacture a plea deal for him to get 3 years in a fed camp somewhere.
Serve 1.5 and retire at young age with a decent 'pension' and get work in another field.
This should have been done behind closed doors and made to look legit.
Nothing burns.
Everyone wants to talk about what's right and justice. Nobody wanted to just keep the peace.

No shite. Insurance providers are inherently morally wrong.
But I bet you at least one provider in that area has had that idea run through his head of
"Godammit, Wilson! Just take one for the team and we'll take care of you on the backend."
