Teaching overseas, how hard is it to get into a good program

4 years of teaching experience and a masters degree in elementary education....
no foreign language experience but willing to learn.....
besides China could one get a job elsewhere with this type of experience?
Seeing where Germany offers teaching positions but only 20 hours a week for many and the same with Paris/London.

Try looking into teaching on a military base overseas.

I think most are wives of soldiers stationed there but go to usajobs.gov and take a look.

I know a few people that went to Barcelona and a few places in Italy to teach English right after college. I could be wrong but I don't think they spoke a second language besides english either.

I looked into a few positions but the salary was around 15-25k US dollars which isn't something I would be willing to do. Maybe when I was younger but not now when I am closer to 50k

Look at DODDS, Department of Defense Dependent Schools. My grandfather was supervisor with DODDS for 30 years. It's a great opportunity for those willing to live somewhere overseas and good pay. They also cover damn near everything...rent, car, tickets home, etc.

Yea, these English teaching positions don't pay the best but I think they post you up in an apartment for free.

Which is why he should look at DODDS, they are always in need of teachers from what I hear.
If my fiance would be willing to do it, I could have her a job tomorrow and I would move in a heartbeat. They do extremely well.

In Japan or Korea they pay you decently , but not much

i just looked at the website and they want a lot of information... I would be looking to move if I can get a salary close to what I make now. However, certain places only offer like 15-20k American but provide a place to stay.
