Is 115 resting bpm bad?

Normally I can google my way out of this but all the results are fact-checkers and information about vaccines. Not really what I'm looking for.

Holy crap. I'm not a medical expert but that seems WAY high. I'd be on the freaking phone with the doc at a minimum.

It's probably not good. How long has it maintained that rate?

I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like the new hotness going around, coronAIDS.

I took a Xanax and some baby aspirin and then went to the hospital. The ER was a complete waste of time for me as my pulse slowed down to normal while I waited (mine was 118 while resting...it jumped to 135 on my 4 minute drive to the hospital).

Do what you feel is best though.

Mine's been that high before when I had the flu. If you have fever adn are dehydrated that will definitely do it.

As for when to go to the doc, I hope someone else can answer.

Yes. You may be in atrial fibrillation. Go see your doctor.

It's above average but I don't know if I'd classify it as BAD. You definitely could afford to lose some weight if you have some chub on you. If you're relatively healthy then I'd probably go to the hospital to get it checked out.

Do you have a fever? Heart rate increases with fever. Rotate ibuprofen and Tylenol to get fever down if you have one.

i’m chalking that up to the steroid shot they gave me. did you recently get one?

My concern is that as soon as I go to a hospital they make CV19 treatments unavailable.

No paxlovid or monoclonal antibodies.

Some of the responses here are a little over dramatic. Anxiety can make your resting HR do that for sure. Also being sick and on medication can. 115 is not a lethal HR. Now if it is staying 115 for hours and hours and not coming down go see a dr, not ER, regular dr. If it’s intermittent and you have no anxiety or not sick, get an appointment

Eta: Now if you are having chest pains then that changes things and go to ER

Agree, same as BP, just because it spikes to the high range, doesn't mean you need medication for HBP.

Yeah some of these responses are hopefully trolling in their exaggeration.

115 can he caused by simple things like caffeine, anxiety, medicine, fever, alcohol, mild exercise, etc.

If it were like 160 and not slowing down, that would be different
