I've been lifting for a couple of years 2-3 times a week and I'm tired of hurting and being sore all the time.
I drink a lot (6/18 oz bottles) of water a day but consume alcohol on weekends, especially this one. I could barely finish my sets today due to cramping or muscle soreness and have.
Any suggestions ?

Only drink one day on the weekend.
Don't lift the following day. Recover. Drink water, eat plenty, take Advil.
By the following day, you'll feel great again.

I cut back to 3 liters of Jim or jack per weekend and I have noticed a huge difference in my lifts.
