I own a pair of these

Fair warning: you may grow a Selleck-esque stache as soon as you put them on.

I wear the most floral, girly Peter Millar trunks out there

.. Peter millar have a pretty good fit to them? Inside mesh tends to be bothersome..

But yeah, Those Southern Marsh trunks are the most normal ones I have.. I tend to like really loud colors and crazy tings on my trunks.

Where does one shop for something nice/affordable, and what is currently in style?

I buy my swim suits at dillards. I love the basic Roundtree and York swim suit. It is not a nut cutter like the columbia shorts, but not a board short either.

Patagonia

I'm liking the Baggies and Nike's from Dillard's someone mentioned earlier.

I'm 6' with a 31-32" waist and skinny white legs. Would a 7" inseam be about the right fit for me? I don't like short shorts, nor do i like shorts down to my knees.

ETA: Will have to check out the RT&Y mentioned just above too ^^^^

Loads of good suggestions in here

The baggies run long. They're long in the crotch. I have two pairs of ten year old 5-inch baggies and they're longer than some 7 and 8 inch shorts I have.

Just try stuff on until you find something that maximizes the appearance of your weiner. Babes love big weiners.

I tend to wear them when really relaxing at the beach or on the boat, and the liner for whatever reason doesn't bother me much.

I cut the liner out of all my Patagonia shorts, but I use those for all kinds of things.

I don't use them for swimming, but the stretch baggies are the shite. I wish they made them shorter, but they're probably my favorite shorts.

I think the intended use is yoga or something.

UDT shorts. Rock your stolen valor at the beach.

ETA: Prolly not a good idea if you're going to San Diego.

In my experience Kohl's has some great stuff. Solid colors, not too long or too short.
